Delegations from more than 60 countries will be assembling in Villach, Austria, from 17 to 20 October for a major international gathering of hydro developers, planners, financiers, specialists on environmental/social aspects, consultants, contractors and suppliers. A technical programme has been put together to encourage a constructive exchange of experience between experts from all parts of the world, with the common aim of furthering hydropower development, and maximizing the benefits of hydro schemes on a local, regional and national level.
