We start this issue of Micrographics with a look at some healthcare news and solutions. The Electronic Health Records Association of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has elected a new leadership to take it forward into a future that will undoubtedly feature one or two technological leaps.rnThe drive for electronic health records is unrelenting, and is backed by governments the world over, as well as offering real benefits in terms of cost savings and facilities improvements. The articles in our Healthcare section point to some of the issues and solutions involved, including a webcast from Iron Mountain and Exempla Healthcare on best practices for hospitals moving to electronic record systems.
