Video indexing is a necessary process to assist the browsing of visual information stored in large multimedia databases and allow an efficient retrieval based on content. A principal phase of this process is video segmentation. This paper presents a new method of video sequence segmentation. Unlike existing methods, in the proposed method, the authors use a graphical representation of video sequence. The principal aim of this approach is the detection of cuts suites in a video sequence (boundaries of transactions). This method is based on two thresholds which allow the localization of transactions suites in a video sequence.
