摘要

In the present study, the hot wire method was used to measure the thermal conductivity of micro- and nanofluids. Also, the Hamilton-Crosser and Einstein correlations were employed to estimate the thermal conductivity and viscosity, respectively. Comparing experimental and calculated results revealed the differences between them. Also, it was found that by adding 3 wt.% of TiO_2 nano- or microparticles to engine oil, its thermal conductivity increased by 57% and 23%, respectively. The corresponding viscosity increases for the same amount of TiO_2 nano- and microparticles were 8% and 7%, respectively.
