An exact design for seven-way Bagley power divider (7-way BPD) is introduced.The objective of this article is to derive general closed-form expressions for theimpedances between adjacent ports for unequal-split 7-way BPD. The values ofthe impedances control the output power ratio. Full derivation of S-parametersfollowed by exact impedance equations will be presented. A parametric studyin addition to several examples will be given to validate the proposed derivationincluding: 7-way BPD with output power splitting ratios of: 1:6:15:20:15:6:1,1:2:3:4:3:2:1, and 1:3:1:3:1:3:1 operating at 1 GHz. An experimental value forthe reflection coefficient (S_(11)), at the design frequency is found to be −40.1 dB.A very good agreement between theoretical, simulated, and experimentalresults is achieved which proves the correctness of the presented approach.Therefore, it can be used to design 7-way BPDs for any output power ratio.
