摘要

This paper presents a study into the parameter-retrieval methods of metasurfacescomposed of isolated metallic unit-cells. The classical method basedon the effective-medium theory is revisited by aiming at the point of effectivethickness in use. The second method based on the generalized sheet transitionconditions is also investigated and the extracted results are mutually verifiedwith the classical method when the unity thickness is used. It is found thatthese two sets of effective parameters, surface susceptibilities and unity effectiveparameters, are mutually equivalent if they are not equal. The retrieved valuesare justified by those results available in literature.
