摘要

Electromagnetic wave propagation along a substrate-integrated waveguidewith varying width is investigated. In this paper the field components and thepropagation constant is derived for the designed substrate integrated waveguide.The width of the substrate-integrated waveguide is varied sinusoidally.Many properties of the sinusoidal modulated periodic structure, for example,the frequency dependence of the propagation constant (phase constant),electric field axial variation for the fundamental space harmonic and its filterlikeproperty have been investigated at the different values of the modulationindices. A good agreement is seen among the analytical, simulated, andmeasured results.
