In this study, we treat a two-dimensional electroelastic problem of an infinite piezoelectric body with two circular piezoelectric inhomogeneities. We consider that to inhomogeneities may have different dimensions and material properties and that the body is subjected to out-of-plane shear deformation and in-plane electric field at infinity. The electroelastic field in both matrix and inhomogeneities is obtained analytically by introducing two complex potential functions and conformal mapping. We find that the electroelastic field in inhomogeneities is not uniform. Some numerical examples are shown graphically and the influence of micromechanics parameters on the distributions of stresses and electric fields is discussed qualitatively and quantitatively.
