The primary objective of the International Journal of Signs and Semiotic Systems (IJSSS) is to bring together multidisciplinary efforts in computational, empirical, theoretical and formal approaches in modelling semiotic processes, especially those that contribute to the design and sy nthesi s of semiotic systems, such as biological evidences or evolutionary and philosophical frameworks. The frameworks and theories explored take into account recent developments from neurocognitive science, cognitive ethology, second order cybernetics, artificial life, biosemiotics, and evolutionary biology.
