Cyclic loading experiments for PC moment frames with beam-to-beam connections with a steel slit damper were conducted to evaluate their seismic vulnerability. Connections installed at the mid-length region of the beam as a connection between PC beams were developed to achieve fast-track construction. Shear links exist in each steel connection, having been designed based on rigid-plastic idealization as used in limit analysis assuming an elastic-perfectly plastic material. The main experimental variable is the shear capacity of the shear links. The links had shear capacity levels of 50, 75, and 100% of the beam shear capacity. Test results showed that the steel connections had an efficient energy-absorbing capacity and good structural performance. The energy dissipation was significantly dependent on the shear capacity of the shear links. Based on the experimental results, it is recommended that beam-to-beam connections with the steel slit damper should be designed as ductile connections with shear capacity levels lower than the design shear capacity of the beam.
