摘要

This paper presents the collection of Ancient Greek Technology models operating in Katakolo under the auspices of the Municipality of the city of Pyrgos (Greece). The collection includes approximately 300 functional models of ancient Greek inventions (from the robot - servant of Philon to the cinema of Heron and from the automatic clock of Ktesibios to the analog computer of Antikythera, and the mechanism for the ancient theatre) covering the period from 2000 BC until the end of the ancient Greek world. All models were constructed by the author, through 22 years of extensive research and study. The aim of this reconstruction is highlighting relatively unknown aspects of ancient Greek technology, and provide a basis for the study of technology evolution from the times of ancient Greeks, up to the end of the ancient Greek world, and the beginning of modern technology.
