The Editorial Board encourages the submission of manuscripts concerned with mitigation of green house gas, forecast of potential natural disaster consideration, analyses of structure failures, etc. Some typical examples are outlined. The TERRA satellite launched by NASA USA since 1998 can provide high resolution visible and infrared images at a spatial resolution varying from 15 to 90m. These spatial resolutions are suitable for change detection and accurate landslide risk assessment. The surveillance method is known as the Advanced Space-borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER).
