摘要

According to James M. Lindsay, Council of Foreign Relations, the top 10 most significant world events for 2014 included gains, loses and events with which the world has to live. These included, for example, state annexations, the Ebola outbreak, the crash of oil prices and negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme stalling again. On the positive side are new leaderships like that of Narendra Modi in India, which has created significant expectations for progress globally and nationally, including the average Indians who are hoping to see their economic, social and human environments improved over the medium to long-terms.
