This issue of the International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR) collects five articles on various topics of Web services.The first article is titled "Development of Distance Measures for Process Mining, Discovery, and Integration." The authors, Joonsoo Bae, Ling Liu, James Caverlee, Liang-Jie Zhang, and Hyerim Bae, propose an approach that quantitatively models and captures the similarity and dissimilarity between different process designs. The similarity is measured by analyzing the process dependency graphs of participating workflow processes, converting extracted process dependency graph into a normalized process matrix, and calculating the metric space distance between the normalized matrices.
