摘要

During the mid-1990s selling products on the Internet, or e-commerce as it is known, was seen as the future for most big corporations. The reality, however, has been somewhat different. Several high profile bankruptcies has meant that share prices in Internet companies have fallen, along with any faith in the industry. This has meant that companies have reassessed their web operations. In 2002, most large corporations in the power generation industry use their websites as a marketing aid rather than a sales tool. As investment has been cut websites have had to become a lot more self-financing, which is where e-commerce comes in - just what are the big power generation companies doing in this field?
