摘要

The US$2.9 billion Qinshan Phase Ⅲ nuclear power project in China is due to be completed in 2003. It is on time and on budget. AECL (Atomic Energy of Canada Limited) in partnership with the Chinese utility, TQNPC (Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Company) is managing construction of 2 x 700MWe Class CANDU reactors. The reactors are being built as a full-scope and firm-price turnkey project. AECL, the lead contractor, designer and builder is managing construction in partnership with TQNPC. Financing for the Qinshan Phase Ⅲ project was provided by export credit agencies from Canada, the US, Japan and Korea. The basis for this type of nuclear plant financing has been established by the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) policies on export credit arrangements for nuclear plant.
