The Supervisory Board of Vossloh has announced a new strategy for the company which involves focusing on its track products and activities and divesting its locomotive and light rail vehicle business by 2017. Vossloh's rail infrastructure division will be split into three new business units comprising core components, customised modules and life-cycle solutions, which will be strengthened through acquisitions where appropriate. "These new infrastructure units form the future core business of the group, while the previous transportation division is no longer defined as core business but will nevertheless initially remain as a fourth division," it says.
