The cost of flying used to be sky high, but it has dropped sharply over the last 20 years. Air Asia, a budget airline, captures the trend with its slogan "now everyone can fly." With tickets as low as €10 including taxes for short, point-to-point journeys, Air Asia and other low-cost airlines in Europe are chipping away at the market share of full-service air carriers.
