Today's largely fashion-driven textile market demands that fabrics have distinctive physical characteristics to ring the changes in terms of appearance, handle and overall aesthetic attractiveness, or to impart application-specific performance attributes. Italian manufacturers of finishing machinery have responded strongly to this complex challenge in a similar manner to those in the dyeing and printing sector spotlighted in our previous (2/2000) issue.
