ln the development of warp knitting machines, flexibility has taken priority over increase in speed increase. Higher flexibility is achieved by and increased number of guide bars, quick pattern changes, fabric monitoring, simple thread break repair and flexible fabric take-off. New developments include a warp knitting machine with two work places; the extended use of piezo-controlled jacquard bars; and a special weft guide system for band knitting machines. Machine speeds are on the rise (approx. +20/100),and so are machine gauges(44E).
