With finishing machinery, as with motor vehicles, permeation by electronic measurement, regulation and control technology has continued. New or improved sensory analysis is driving automation forward: length, width, weight per unit area, yarn density, moisture, temperature, distortion, fabric inspection. Complete processes too can be implemented increasingly perfectly by control systems, while tested PPS systems organise fabric throughput through the works effectively and transparently.
