There were in fact no surprising or spectacular highlights in the twisting sector at ITMA 99, but the numerous detailed innovations shown indicate that many advances and improvements can still be achieved by engineering ingenuity in terms of productivity, energy saving, noise reduction, electronic monitoring and control, and in ply yarn quality too.
