摘要

Drafting systems are amongst the most important mechanical elements in the spinning of staple fibres. The functioning of the drafting system vitally influences the evenness, hairiness and downstream processing performance of the yarn. The role of the drafting process on the ring spinning frame is progressively to attenuate an input sliver. This progressive attenuation must take place very evenly. Errors occurring on the actual ring spinning frame in the drafting of the roving cannot be corrected later.
