A new shrink-proof process for cellulosic clothing material such as cotton or rayon fabrics has been developed at the Miai Research Institute of Nisshinbo Industries (J). The distinguishing feature of the new process is the achievement of a remarkable shrink-proof property through a physiochemical approach without using any chemical agent such as resin.
