Sulphur dyes produce excellent dyeings with good fastness properties (except fastness to chlorine). Owing to the environmental problems associated with this mode of dyeing, sulphur dyes have a bad reputation. Now a new generation of sulphur dyes has been introduced together with a dyeing process that meets the highest standards where environmental compatibility and safety regulations are concerned.
