摘要

A useful feature of Reusing Online Resources is that although it is an edited book, the chapters were written for this volume rather than being a collection of previously published articles. This means that instead of providing the same definitions or other redundant information, the authors instead refer to their colleagues work in the other chapters. In addition, although reuse of online materials is a subject that has been well covered in the journal literature, there has been only one other book length work on this topic: The Instructional Use of Learning Objects, by David Wiley. Wiley's (2002) book has a narrower focus than Reusing Online Resources and is more technical. Reusing Online Resources is well written, accessible, and is a valuable addition to the field.
