Poland's Ministry of National Defence (MNO) has revealed that it expects the selection of a strategic partner for the country's Orka submarine programme to be made this month. The MND is looking to procure three submarines equipped with submarine-launched cruise missiles, with a fourth boat as an option. The delivery date for the first boat is planned for 2024-26 and the estimated cost of the programme is PLN7.5-10 billion (USD2.2-2.9 billion).
