India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully test fired its Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon (SAAW) from an Indian Air Force (IAF) Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) on the country's east coast, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a 24 December statement. The indigenously designed and developed 120 kg smart weapon, which was flight tested a day earlier, is capable of engaging ground targets with high precision up to a range of 100 km, the MoD said.
