The US Air Force (USAF) needs more personnel in order to continue meeting its overall operating requirements without incurring higher risk, according to General David Goldfein, USAF chief of staff. "We're too big for the resources available, but we're too small for what the nation requires," he said during an event at the American Enterprise Institute on 18 January.
