Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is pitching its Heron TP unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as a solution for Australia's Project AIR 7003 requirement, Jane's was told at the Avalon Airshow on 1 March. Shaul Shahar, executive vice-president and general manager at lAI's Military Aircraft Group, said that the company is looking to leverage its experience with providing its Heron 1 UAV to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) over the previous six years to secure the requirement.
