A new S-300 long-range air defence missile base will be opened shortly at Divnogorsk in the Krasnoyarsk region of central Siberia and be operational from 1 July, according to the commander of the 14th Army Air Force and Air Defence, Lieutenant General Alexander Tatarenko. The missile brigade staffing the facility was formed on 1 December 2016 as part of the Central Military District. The facility will defend infrastruc-ture in the central Siberian region around Krasnoyarsk, including industrial centres, the city's two airports, a hydro-electric dam, and the bridges over the Yenisei River.
