A German court has rejected General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc's (GA-ASI's) challenge to Germany's decision to lease Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Heron TP medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) instead of procuring the MQ-9 Reaper. The German Ministry of Defence said the 31 May ruling by the higher regional court in Duesseldorf paves the way for the Bundestag, the German parliament, to approve leasing Heron TPs during the second half of June.
