The Canàdian National Research Council (NRC) has hosted senior personnel from a variety of US agencies involved in buying US heavy polar icebreakers. Representatives from the US Navy (USN), Coast Guard (USCG), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate visited the NRC in St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador on 26 July for a showcase of the organisation's physical modelling and evaluation of icebreaker designs.
