State-owned Indonesian defence manufacturer PT Pindad has received an order from the government to supply the Indonesian Army with an initial 50 units of its newly developed 6x6 Badak 90 mm direct fire vehicle (DFV), a senior company official confirmed to IHS Jane's on 21 January. The official said the order was placed during a visit from Indonesia's vice-president, Jusuf Kalla, one day earlier but that a formal production contract was yet to be signed. This is expected following approval from Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu.
