Raytheon is going through a series of test events and development milestones in preparation for a mid-year demonstration of its Coyote unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the US Navy (USN). The Office of Naval Research (ONR) will conduct an at-sea test of Low-Cost UAV Swarming Technology (LOCUST) in the Gulf of Mexico using Coyote. The navy's science and technology office will use a six-tube pneumatic launcher to get 30 Coyotes airborne.
