Affinity Flying Services Limited has secured a GBP500 million (USD721 million) contract to provide the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and its Ascent Flight Training partner with the Fixed-Wing portion of the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS) programme. Affinity, a 50/50 joint venture of Elbit Systems UK and Kellog Brown and Root Limited, will provide new aircraft types, as well as maintenance and sup-port, as part of a wider GBP1.1 billion investment in UKMFTS announced by the MoD on 2 February.
