Harris has reached a deal to sell its aerostructures business to Albany International, the company announced on 29 February. The deal, expected to close by the middle of 2016, is for USD210 million including USD187 million in cash. The aerostructures business is part of Harris' Electronic Systems group and reported revenues of USD77 million for 2015. The business operates out of two facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah. It focuses on building components for military and commercial aircraft, primarily through the use of composites.
