The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sate of up to 24 Beechcraft T-6C+ Texan Ⅱ turboprop trainer/ light attack aircraft to Argentina, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on 3 August. The estimated USD300 million sale aims to replace the Argentine Air Force's ageing advanced trainers, which now include only a handful of airworthy aircraft from an original 30 Embraer EMB-312 Tucanos purchased from Brazil in 1987.
