India has ordered an investigation into a leak of sensitive information to an Australian newspaper, which reportedly details the operational and combat capabilities of six Scorpene-class submarines that French shipbuilder DCNS is licence-building for the Indian Navy (IN) in Mumbai. "The available information is being examined at Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy), and an analysis is being carried out by concerned specialists," the IN said on 24 August in response to a data leak on which The Australian newspaper reported earlier that day.
