Having been mostly absent from the previous seven Kish Island Iran Air Shows, Russian industry made a major push at this year's event, which took place from 16 to 19 November. The major Russian aerospace holding companies were present, including the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the United Engine-Building Corporation (UEC), and Russian Helicopters, as well as smaller Russian aerospace companies.
