Affinity Flying Training Services has begun the delivery of Grab G120TP Prefect basic trainer aircraft under the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS) programme, it was announced on 21 November. Affinity, a 50/50 joint venture of Elbit Systems UK and Kellogg Brown and Root Limited, delivered the first two Prefects to the Royal Air Force (RAF) College at Cranwell in mid-November. The consortium is to deliver 23 aircraft as part of the GBP500 million (USD617 million) Fixed-Wing UKMFTS contract awarded in February. The G120TP will be used to teach elementary flying.
