Boeing is considering entering equity partnerships in India's defence sector following the government's move in August to ease restrictions on foreign direct investment (FDI). A Boeing spokesperson confirmed to IHS Jane's in late December that the company "may look" at investment as a means of forging partnerships with local firms and expanding its presence in the market. "Boeing continues to work with suppliers in India in not only manufacturing... [T]he company has invested significantly in equipment, training, tooling, and quality systems with partner companies," said the spokesperson.
