The European Air Transport Fleet (EATF) partnership has now entered into its 'second phase' of optimising the use of existing and future national fleets of military transport aircraft in the continent, the European Defence Agency (EDA) announced on 19 January. With the first phase of harmonising diplomatic clearance mechanisms and procedures, and the hosting of live exercises and training events having run from 2011 to 2014, this second phase will build on this work and run through to 2017.
