Airbus Group has completed the sale of almost half of its remaining holding in Dassault Aviation for EUR1.6 billion (USD1.76 billion), reducing its holding in the French aerospace group from 42% to 24.6%. A total of 17.5% of Dassault Aviation shares were divested, Airbus said on 25 March, with 12.5% of the share capital placed with institutional investors (for EUR1.030 per share) and 5% absorbed by Dassault Aviation itself. Following the sale - the latest in a series of moves by Airbus to reduce its holdings in the organisation - the Groupe Indus-triel Marcel Dassault (GIMC) remains the single biggest shareholder of Dassault Aviation with a 55% controlling stake.
