The Peruvian Air Force (Fuerza Aerea del Peru - FAP) received the first of four Alenia Aermacchi C-27J Spartan tactical airlifters during a ceremony near Lima, the Italian company announced on 27 March. The delivery to Las Palmas Air Base on the capital's outskirts marks a major milestone in a USD100 million procurement contract for two aircraft, plus spares and support, that was signed in December 2013. In December 2014 the FAP signed for two more aircraft at the same price, with all four aircraft due to be delivered by the end of 2017.
