US company Raytheon has agreed to work with Estonia on the joint development of cyber capabilities. No contracts were announced, but leaders from the company and country will meet in Tallinn, Estonia, to outline the details of the co-operation, the company said on 30 March. Estonia has been particularly vocal on the need to develop cyber defences after suffering a series of attacks in 2007 largely attributed to Russia. "Strong defense-industrial co-operation between the United States and Estonia is in our strategic interest," said Permanent Secretary of the Estonian Ministry of Defense Mikk Marran.
