Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) chose LAAD 2015 to launch eLog: the company's new solution for digitising the performance of small arms inventories. The eLog system consists of three components: weapon-embedded sensor modules that record each time a round is discharged; rugged PDA-based terminal readers that communicate with the sensor modules and collect the recorded data; and PC-based armourer management software that collates this data to produce a detailed view of each weapon's status and performance.
