The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) has selected the Dassault Falcon 2000 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) to augment its existing fixed-wing fleet, the company announced on 22 April. The JCG is to receive an undisclosed number of falcon 2000 MSA aircraft, which will be based on the Falcon 2000 LXS platform. Dassault did not disclose the delivery schedule. According to Dassault, the JCG will use the Falcon 2000 MSA in a variety of missions, such as maritime surveillance, piracy control, drug interdiction, fishery patrol, law enforcement, search and rescue, and intelligence and reconnaissance.
