Final operational capability (FOC) has been declared for the Royal Australian Air Force's (RAAF's) six EA-7 Wedgetail airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, Defence Minister Kevin Andrews said on 26 May. The Boeing 737-700-based aircraft now provide the world's most advanced air battle space management capability, the minister said. FOC means the entire capability, from physical aircraft to logistics, management, sustainment, facilities and training, is fully operational and able to support ongoing operations.
