Bell-Boeing has been awarded a USD332.5 million deal for the manufacture and delivery of five V-22B Block C Osprey tiltrotor aircraft for Japan, the Pentagon announced on 14 July. "The Bell Boeing team is honoured to have Japan as the first international customer for the V-22," Mitch Snyder, executive vice-president of military helicopters for Bell Helicopter, said in a statement. According to the Pentagon announcement, the five initial aircraft are to be delivered to Japan by June 2018.
